Can You Be Found Online?

With 105 million sites worldwide and counting it is no wonder that we are trying to find better ways to target local customers.  Recently, I noticed that Google Maps has a link for business owners to be able to add their business name, address, phone numbers, hours of operation, a brief description and even a coupon.  This free service is easy to set up.  If you have more than one location you can add those too. As part of their verification process a postcard will be sent to the address provided.  On the postcard will be the verification number. As an added bonus, on the postcard I received was a $25 credit for first time users of Google Adsense (those mini text ads you see on Google and elsewhere).  I am not guaranteeing that they will still be runing this promotion, however Google doesn’t seem to stop too many marketing initiatives.
